Question 1

Are London black cabs more expensive than private hire services?

Accepted Answer

Generally, yes. Black cab fares are metered, which can cause costs to escalate in traffic. Carrot Cars provides a professional alternative with fixed, upfront pricing, ensuring you know the exact cost before the journey begins regardless of traffic.

Question 2

Is it customary to tip drivers in London?

Accepted Answer

Tipping is common (typically 10–15%). However, Carrot Cars simplifies expense management by including all gratuities in the quoted price, eliminating the need for cash handling or extra calculations.

Question 3

Is booking in advance more cost-effective than hailing a taxi?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hailing a taxi involves flag-down fees and metered rates. Pre-booking with Carrot Cars allows you to secure a competitive, all-inclusive rate for better budget control and guaranteed dispatch.

Question 4

What distinguishes a chauffeured service from a standard taxi?

Accepted Answer

While taxis are basic transport, a chauffeured service focuses on professionalism and vehicle quality. Carrot Cars offers executive-class vehicles, flight tracking, complimentary waiting time, and meet-and-greet services.

Question 5

Do Londoners use private hire services frequently?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Private hire services are integral to London’s transport network, especially for business travel, late-night journeys, or areas with limited public transport.

Question 6

Can I book a chauffeur for a full-day engagement?

Accepted Answer

Certainly. Carrot Cars offers flexible hourly and full-day bookings, which are ideal for complex itineraries like business meetings, corporate events, or sightseeing tours.

Question 7

How do I reserve a Carrot Cars vehicle?

Accepted Answer

You can reserve via our website or mobile app. Simply enter your journey details and select your vehicle class; all bookings are confirmed with transparent, upfront pricing.

Question 8

Do you provide options for group travel?

Accepted Answer
