Night Controller at Carrot Cars
Position: Night Controller
Pay Rate: £14.80 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Location: Remote (UK based)

Carrot Cars, a premier private hire vehicle company, is seeking a reliable and experienced Night Controller to join our team. As a Night Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring our night shifts’ smooth and seamless operation.
Primary responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating the night shift operations, ensuring excellent customer service and quick response times.
- Allocating and dispatching jobs to our fleet of licensed drivers, effectively managing their availability and shift patterns.
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to company service standards and policies.
- Identifying and resolving potential issues or challenges during the night shift.
- Collaborating with various departments to optimise resources and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Effectively communicating with drivers, customers, and other team members to provide accurate and timely information.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a minicab/private hire controller is essential. Applications without controller experience will not be considered.
- You must live in the UK and have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to liaising with drivers, clients, and colleagues.
- A calm and composed demeanour and the ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of the London area and the private hire vehicle industry would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- A reliable home office setup with a stable internet connection, including a tested backup connection (for example a 5G mobile hotspot).
