They run into St Pancras, Farringdon and Blackfriars, and Victoria sits on a different line, so you finish with an Underground change across the middle of London. Counted properly, the rail route to Victoria is four stages: shuttle, train, Tube, walk. That is a lot to manage with a suitcase in each hand.

Coaches are the direct alternative. The Green Line 757 and the National Express A1, A2 and A31 all run between the airport and the Victoria area. Between them they operate around the clock.
